Benefits of a Clinton Hill Experience

     1.  Low staff to student ratio: Our classrooms average a 1:5 ratio, far below the state requirement of 1:12. This low ratio allows our teachers to provide more individual instructional support.

2.  Small classroom sizes: Our preschool classroom sizes are limited to a maximum of 15 children, in accordance with the National Association for the Education of Young Children Guidelines. Our toddler classroom sizes are limited to a maximum of 12 children.

3.  Highly qualified staff: Our teachers and teacher assistants are all certified in Early Childhood Education with an average of 8 years or more experience. In addition to their formative education, our staff undergoes on-going, intensive, individualized professional development to ensure they stay current on best practices and changes within their field.

4.  Strong family partnerships: The entire structure of our organization is built around the guiding principle that strong partnerships between families and schools enhance children's learning and development. We do not just ask families to be "involved", we EXPECT them to be an equal partner.

5. On-going support: Our Family Suuport Service Team is here to support YOU. From the very first inquiry to the day of graduation and beyond, we want families to feel apart of Clinton Hill and have all the resources they need to be successful.

6.  Convenient hours for working parents: We recognize the responsibilites that our families have and developed a calendar that far exceeds the traditional school year of 180 days. We open as early as 7:30am and stay as late as 5:30pm to accomodate families with demanding schedules.

"My daughter loves going to school here, her teachers Miss Miller & Miss Hunter are wonderful and approachable. Her class had many outside trips to places of interest and learning."

Research tells us the powerful role that play has on a child's learning and development. That is why at Clinton Hill we define PLAY as Purposeful Learning for Active Youth. Our highly qualified staff set the stage for children to enrich their "play" with daily substantive experiences.
